Engine Color

Does anyone know what color the 223 is for the 1955-1956 F-100? Mid-fifty says it’s a pale yellow like the Y-block and it does make sense in a way but I want to get a second opinion.

I went with my dad when he ordered a new 56 F100 with a 223 engine it was for sure a light Yellow, don't know on a the 55 though.

I wish i could've bought a new one from the dealer. I've always noticed small areas of my engine were a light yellow before it was painted the current color of Old Ford Blue. Thanks for the reply!

Engine paints jobs vary a lot and most are very poor on quality and were it gets painted. Most of the time you’re better off to just do the paint job yourself. Are you thinking about redoing the paint job yourself?

You should be able to get some mixed at auto paint and body supply store if you have one near you. Here is also one place with engine enamel sure there are many others.
