Engine knock after reassembly

I just got finished reassembling my engine (ford 223 straight 6) and im hearing this weird knock. It doesn’t start right away, and it only starts when the car has been running for a little bit and the noises are intermittent. I checked the cylinders through the spark plug hole to make sure I didn’t drop anything in there and I came up with nothing, I don’t think it’s a bent push rod. Does anyone have any suggestions?

A piston installed 180* off will cause an odd knock. Not a "hard" knock, more of a "ringing" knock. intermittent. If you have some way to see into the cylinders, look for the notch, that they all face forward.
If it's a deeper sound, get under and listen to the crank. Main bearings can do this too.

Are certain the flywheel was tightened properly? Push in the clutch and listen for a change in the rattle. I made that mistake late one night trying to complete something.
