Exhaust notes?

Just installed some duals with flowmasters. Stock manifold still (until the new FSSP header is ready) with a Y-pipe and dual 40's exiting just behind the rear tires. Car has a mean growl just off idle then smooths out and is pretty quiet at crusing speeds. My quesition is; will dual outlet headers effect the final exhaust sound one installed? If so...how?

I have heard from everyone that yes it will change sound, I believe it will make it louder, but when I went to my header I changed the exhaust... so I cannot be sure... so this post means nothing, just gives me something to do for I have othing better to do with the tropical storm out in the Gulf creating rain, making it so that I can't work on my car...

I've generally found headers to make the car quieter, all else being the same.
