exhaust questions

Iam installing a 170 with T-5 in my 64 falcon convertable ,with 3carbs on homemade intake and 3angle valve job with dual headers . My question is on exhaust I have found stainless mufflers on ebay and am wondering if anyone has used any of these mufflers ,and how they work they are like six dollars with eighteen dollars shipping . and locally they want about $150 each I am installing stainless exhaust pipes dual to the rear in two inch and want a mellow tone any input or advice will be appreciated . On another note I live about 75 miles from world famous author Dave Schjeldahl, He's taller in person than He looks in the book if you purchace HIs book at his house He does not charge shipping . nice guy
