exhaust ?'s

well I am planning on ordering a dual out header from mike this summer and was looking into exhaust options. I have my own tools for doing this (mig bandsaw and chop saw and sawzall) and I have done my own work before so that is the route I am going. I had a cheap ass turbo muffler onthe car but I am looking for something better and more durable with a better sound of course. so I am looking at a 2" 50 series flow master (two to be exact) which I can get in SS right now for $5 extra a muffler. so would this on a mildly bilt 200 (looking at a offy triple setup, header, and 260-272 degree cam) be ok? 90% of my driving is highway and for the next two years most of its driving will be between school and home (225 miles each way) so giving up a little low end is ok (3.55 gears right now and got T5 swap parts collectiing) now I am looking for something rumbley with low-little interior noise (long huals suck for resonance) and is going to last for several years.

BTW all the pipe sections will be welded J bends coming out the back bumper with a h-pipe.

so doe sthis sound like a good plan for this?

I installed Brola ProXS mufflers on my car and they sound great. Not loud at idle but they really roar when I hit the gas. Everyone who has listened to the mufflers said it sounds like I have a small block under the hood.

A friend of mine installed Flow's on his strongly built 6 (headers, hipo cam, crank, pistons, etc) and it still gave the muffled 6 sound. He installed the Borla ProXS's also and decided to keep them.

If you decide to go with the Borlas, there is a guy who sells them at a huge discount on eBay.

Good Luck!
Mike

Just a heed of warning for anyone out there thinking about installing a Dynomax Super Turbo Hemi on their Stang (67, probably 64-68 too). It don't fit. Of course I found out the hard way. :x

Using the non "hemi" version should work fine.
