extractors for 250 in early falcon

hey guys does anyone know if the standard extractors for a 250 pre crossflow will be alright in my 1960 XK 250 with alloy 2V head or do i need special ones. any information would be appreciated.

You need to check the width of the extractors as the 2v XY ,XA have a wider engine bay than the good old xk to xp falcons

. you may end up with the extractors hitting the shock tower and/or the steering box- then i guess its out with the gas and hammer ....

you have the alloy head from mike ?

then you need to check the exh ports line upwith the extractors (i think?)

I would suggest that it may be easier to custom make a set to fit. Given the 250 motor was not fitted to the XK.

CAE ( 03 5472 1442 ) in Castlemaine may have something to suit your conversion.

mine worked ok.

only thing is i had a problem with is the pipe from number six port fouled on the starter solinoid. maber try a clapper starter.
