Hi Everyone,
My Autolite 1100 started leaking all of a sudden. Took it apart to do a rebuild. I could hear fuel sloshing around in brass float. Held float under very hot water with needle nose pliers and could see bubbles coming out of one area. It is along the soldered seam that separates the two halves. I have already found brand new ones online. However, can it be salvaged by me soldering over the opening? Next question, how on earth would I go about getting the fuel out of there? It definitely will not come out of the existing hole (too small)? Has anyone ever dealt with this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
