Flathead 6 Ring Gears

Does the 226 flathead 6 use the same ring gear and starter drive as the flathead V8? : :

The flathead v8 has a 112 tooth ring gear and a ten tooth starter gear. The flathead six has a 114 tooth ring gear and a nine tooth starter gear. The starters less the starter gear are the same. There is a flathead six ring gear listed on ebay now. If the ten tooth starter gear is used with the 114 tooth ring gear the starter gear tends to drive the ring gear forward off the flywheel due to interference engagement expecially with 12 volts. .
