No,this is not the typical which muffler should iI get thread. My question is what is the difference btwn the mufflers? Like for example there are like 4 different 2.25 in and out center/offset 40 series mufflers. They say that they are 4 different vehicles, but they r the same size. Just figured I would ask before I purchased anything. Thanks in advance anotherhassel.

in and out, center/offset, lets you know where the inlet and outlet are on the muffler ( ie. offset to the left or right side) so that you can choose the right one to fit your pipes.

in: offset to right, out: center

in: center, out: offset right

is that what you were referring to?

Not sure. Flowmaster gives part numbers and applications but they appear to have the same offset and centerinlet outlet. Is there any difference internally?
