Well, I haven't succeded on the aluminum covers yet, but while I was in LA this week, I found a distributor for the chrome valve covers. They are just like the ones everyone else is selling, but I can offer them a little bit cheaper. I should have them in stock in a week or two and will post pics when I get them (not that you all don't already know what they look like).

FSPP price will be
Valve cover (two hole) $39.50
Rubber grommet $2.00
Chrome breather $6.50
Chrome twist cap $5.00

Prices are good keep working on the aluminiums. Looking forward to having another choice than Cliffy's, what will your's look like?

Are they the "stock" looking chrome or with the squared top with the rib down the middle?

They are just the plain jane stock style. Sorry.

I've designed an aluminum cover (similar to the Edelbrock cover), but finding a foundry to produce them in limited quanties has proven to be very difficult. Most larger companies want a minimm run of 1000 or more, which I can't afford. And if I find one who will produce them in smaller qantities, they want $350 plus to make them.

I am now looking into some two piece billet covers and have contacted a couple of shops. The bottom piece would be fabricated and the top would be machined from billet. But I think these might be a bit pricy too.

I just have to keep looking. I plan on going to SEMA in August as there are a lot of foundries represented. Maybe I can find the right company there. :?

I might just have to read up on casting and see if I can make them myself. :D :D :D :D
