This question is for those of you with the Holley 5200 and clifford adapter:
I've read up on how the best way for your carb to sit is with the fuel bowl facing the radiatior so that all the fuel doesnt flow out when turning and stuff. Have you guys noticed problems with the way the clifford adaptor sets this up not facing the radiator? Why doesn't anyone make an adapter that does it right?

HI spence,

My Holley is mounted with the bowl facing the valve cover (Clifford adapter). I used this orientation to facilitate carb hook-up. I did have some fuel starvation in tight-slow-poweroff left turns. I was able to adjust this out by adjusting the float so as to fill the bowl slightly higher. Another issue with the Holley Weber sreies is fuel pressure. Cabs like 3 - 4 psi. Stock pump is capable of putting out 6-7 psi. So, you may need a pressure regulator. I don't use one and don't have a problem. You can see my set-up here http://kastang.tripod.com/fsp/parkinglot.html.

Hope this helps - Steve

Steve, you always seem to have the answer. Thanks for all the help.

Another side note, I found the DFEV 5200 which is a reverse of the DG. The linkage is on the valve cover side and made a cable hookup very simple. No problems with sloshing or stalling eather. Still looking for JET recomendations. I had a 132 P and 150 S and have moved up to 160 P and 150 S at this point.
