Fuel line/fittings for Holley 2300

I'll be swapping on a Holley 2300 this Summer. I am placing an order from Summit for other reasons, but thought I might as well pick these up now. I'll be hooking up to the stock fuel pump for now, are the 6AN size fittings the ones to use and is the stock line 5/16" from the fuel pump tothe current Autolite 1100?? Really can't measure as car is packed away for the winter. What have others used?

Thanks for any help! Jay

Standard tubing is 5/16". The -6AN is slightly larger, I think. Are you planning braided lines?

Thanks Addo! Yes, I'm going with the braided lines, I've always liked the look. I also wanted to use a small section back a the tank to connect to the main hardline. I've got a dual out muffler in the stock location that's slightly wider and sometimes worry about the rubber line that's back there now.

The part near your tank will be tough to set up. Personally I would braze a fitting to the sender/pickup unit, and then use a stainless or plated hose end. For the steel line end, convert to double flare (and don't forget to put the nut on first!) - the hose will have a good collection of fittings when you're done.

I don't imagine the high grade braided hoses work too well with hose clamps.

From the fuel pump to the regulator and then carb I would run 3/8" hard line. Just looks tougher to me!

Cheers, Adam.

I was going to do my fuel lines with braided but with all the fittings it gets expensive. 5/16 and -8An are close and then comes 3/8 and -6AN. (I think??)

If you to want use the 5/16 tubing the correct fitting to connect to your 2300 is the HLY-26-27 which screws right into you fuel bowl,

This fitting accepts the 5/16 inverted flare tubing which is the same as your fuel pump outlet. William
