fuel pump

This is a picture of the block, if you notice the place were the pump would mount, if I mount to pump with can up the bolt hole will not match up.am I just

going crazy or what.

Depending on the position the FP eccentric is at on the cam, the pump won't just slide in and line up. You'll have to apply a modes amount of 'umph' to get the bolts started (I like to start em by hand to make sure smooth thread engagement). Then as you bolt 'er up the pump will pull up flush. The mounting surface does give the impression the pump should go in upside down, but as mentioned in the other thread it should not. Just a little tricky to get started.
