Fuel Pump

In am running 61 jets and a 8.5 power valve. It also runs a little rich with some black suet from the tailpipes. But, it runs well. I used to have vapor lock a long time ago. Switched to a Mopar fuel filter which had a return. I just plumbed it back to the fuel line with a "T" before the pump.

I am now running an Edlerbrock electric fuel pump with about 5 psi.

61’s could be better suited to mine, when i ran 58’s there were recommended by the local dyno guy, i have a 65 page PDF on 2 Barrel holleys, it said a 58 jet was suited to a 179 Holden, so at 179 cubes and a smallish head, with the flow of the 2V head plus being 21 cubes bigger, it was very lean. In the Performance Six handbook, in the 2V section section it describes the 2 best mods for a 250 2V, one is a 500 holley and two is bigger valves, it also states that the motor was under carbed from the factory, so called experts were furious i was going to chuck a 500 Holley on, but so called experts also thought the world was flat at one stage.......
