Got home for a week R&R from the gulf three days ago after 4.5 months in hell. So i figured I'd start up the Mustang and take her out for a ride with the top down. The weather was great.
My wife had mentioned when she started it she smelled fuel. So I rolled it out of the garage, started it up and popped the hood.

The darn clear glass filter was pissing fuel all over the top of the log. Literally pools of fuel in there. Crap.

I shut it off, sopped up the fuul and went to town on the filter. Seems the rubber gaskets get indented and don't fit as tight as when first installed. I had put this filter on just 5 months ago.

So if you run a clear filter, check that the end caps are on snugly every so often. I almost got an insurance payoff. Of course buring down the house would be a major drag, too.

Three more days here in paradise and back to the sandbox for 7.5 more moths.

Cheers,
Steve-O

Save the fuel, drop some napalm on these ragheads.

Sorry you had a fuel leak, but at least no one drove the vehicle & a fire never destroyed the vehicle.

Keep up the good work, bomb the heck out of them. William

Your inappropriate comments have filled me with anger. I had some scathing comments to make but my peaceful nature has won out. As an italion American of second generation I object to you characterizing the people of Iraq as rag heads. Remember that all those Iraqi's are in the same hell as Steve-O.

Steve-O be careful and keep your head down. A war zone is no fun and no place to get careless.
