GM Module with DS

I tested a GM type HEI module with Clifford re-curved DS distrib. out of the engine and it works spinning distrib shaft with my fingers -(ZZap - yow) using temp batt supply. Anyone using this setup have any comments on actual performance. ?.

Willl the dropping resistance original coil feed wire run the module OK or does it need reliable 12V?.

I am running it with the resistor still in place and it seems to work great, never had a problem with it.

I by passed the resistor wire on mine. I am running a full 12v from the ignition switch.

It'll run with less voltage, but they really like a full 12V.

will I actually notice a difference in the way it runs it I bypass the resistor? I was going to when I did the install but got lazy ran fine so I never got around to it

It's designed to run 7.5 - 15V from what I've read, but it works best at 12V.
