Got An Exhuast Idea!!!

hmm... my exhaust dumps under the car before the rear axle. I need to get it inspected next month, who knows if they will let it through like that or not?

Respectfully: I don't think any inspector worth his salt would pass a car set up like that. It's a safety thing as far as I am concerned. If you got stuck in traffic and a bunch of Carbon Monoxide leaked into your car it could be a very very bad thing for you and any passengers.

Come on bud. Why not throw a tailpipe on there?

It's been my experience that if you're driving a muscle car, cops really don't care how loud your exhaust is. Just recently I got pulled over in my Z28 for some lights not working (crappy old wiring). It has no exhaust, it's just running open headers with 2ft extensions bolted to the collectors. The cop and I talked about cars for a little bit and then he let me go, he didn't even say a thing about the exhaust. Now, I've had friends who drive rice rockets get pulled over and get hammered with tickets for loud exhausts. It's a double standard... but one I can't argue with

thats exactly how the cops are here. my cutlass and regal have about the same exhaust set up as your chevy and i never had any run in with the police because of it. they spend too much time looking out for teeneager in little rice pack hondas BS'ing around
