Got Donut?

I have a stamped C3 header exhaust.
The exhaust pipe had a spacer flange. One side is beveled for what I guess would be a donut.
The flange is bent

Can I just take "a donut" and put it between the exhaust manifold and exhaust plate? And compress?

I've seen a lot of posts here with folks trying to conquer the leaky manifold scenario. I too have exhaust shooting otf the block side of my manifold and pipe flange.

I didn't try putting the spacer plate in there because it appears bent.

I had a regular metal circle lined gasket but it leaked

Thanks for any advice!

well, one donut bites the dust.

Someone was recommending copper. I've used those plates on headers and they work. Will try to find a supplier that stamps that shape and let you know...

just to recap. I have a spacer plate about 3/8" thick between the exhaust pipe and manifold. Can these be purchased new? I need a replacement. This is the part that on one side accepts the donut while the other side is flat and accepts a flat gasket to mount to the down pipe part of the tailpipe.
