So im going to clean and make sure the edge is true. The valves were worn so going to replace those with viton .530 seals. Also think about the dual spring with damper. Was looking at 1.6 adjustable rockers or rollers. Not sure which on yet. New valves too. Anything else I should address whilee I have the head off.

What about gasket matching? Read good and bad things about that. Also, would the 1.65 and the 1.6 roller rocker make a huge difference over the 1.6 adjustable? And does anyone know how much longer until the new kits are available from Mike?

Roller rockers don't do much for the bang for the buck.
Unless you're running at like wide open all the time.
I would focus on pocket-porting the head and would not waste money on a gasket match.
I mean, I did, and would not again... :rolflmao:

Would the 1.6 adjustable stock be good? and the gasket matching DIY is still not worth it?
Gasket matching would obviously only apply on the exhaust and I would not do that. You don't want to enlarge the exhaust ports on that head. Just a little smoothing out inside the exhaust ports would be the most you would want to do in this area.

Basically yes...as mentioned earlier pocket porting will help as well. That means smoothing and cleanup up the area underneath the valves...removing all flashing and such. If I had some pics I would post them but if you do a search on porting you should find some.
