I had a happy hunting day at the wreckers today! I went down to Pick and Pull (sounds like what you'd do with a scab, doesn't it?) just to see what kind of stuff they had in stock, and lucky me, they had 2 early 70's Mavericks! These guys usually don't even put older stuff out in the yard anymore, the bastards. The carb was gone from one of them, but the other...

It was a 1970 Maverick, automatic, and it had a recently rebuilt Carter YF parked on top of the log! It has a manual choke, and I got the whole cable mechanism to go with it. Best of all, it cost me $14.99...Canadian!

I'm so happy!

That would make my whole week...we have a Pull-a-Part here and ocassionally I can find a good deal,, still waiting on that '90 GT T5 though.

I have been thinking about another trip to the junkyard. I love it. :D This time I am going to see if I can dig up any '77 or later 200ci engines and maybe a neat old set of 4 lug rims.

Even if I do not find anything, climbing on old cars and getting dirty in the process is so much fun.

Dude, too bad you're not here. There's a ridiculous number of fox bodies with sixes in 'em right now at the wreckers.
