Do all SB inline 6 Ford engines produced for North America use the log style cast in intake?

The reason I ask is that I was digging around in my friend's garage, looking through old shop manuals. I found a 1972 manual for Ford inline 6 engines. In the section on the small sixes, all diagrams showed a separate intake manifold.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't an Australian manual either.

Weird.

Many engine manuals cover the small sixes (144, 170, 200, 250) and the large sixes (240, 300) as there is a lot of overlap in the years they were produced (including 1972). All the US small sixes have the integral intake manifold, all the large sixes have a removable intake.

I think they must have been using photos of the big six heads as their examples.

In the Oz Ford factory manual for '66 it's got a page and a half dedicated to dismantling a door assembly that wasn't even offered here... Poor editing in both instances.
