VRS=VALVE REGRIND SET. comes as a set of gaskets
head gasket .v/stem seals,intake gskt ,exh gaskt ,r/c gskt basically everthing from the head gasket up upwards.

Rare Spares list this as DH100MT for the Monotorque brand. Whatever make you choose (hopefully ACL, as they made the originals), it will likely have a similar code.

Parts shops usually know what you mean when asking for a VRS.

Note that I have heard some comments (via Crow) that the pilot end on the XC-XD iron head dizzy is larger, and the electronic unit may not fit straight in. If that is the case, you may have to buy a US Duraspark. Like I said, this is only hearsay.

ok i picked up a new motor from the wreckers the other day. i am unsure of what year it is the head is HF-4 and the engine no. is JG40BD67924C.

Any ideas? will it handle ULP?

I think JG40 is a Falcon Ute. As for the exact year - I usually check the dizzy. The head will handle unleaded, but no ideas on the combustion chamber or compression ratio.

so if a hf-4 head can handle ulp i am guessing that my hf-5 head will to even though i have been using LRP just in case.

My opinion is that LRP never hurts in such cases. Top it up with Avgas!
