Header Bolts

Which type of header bolts are being used successfully out there? Definitely going with Classic Inlines Jet Sprayed headers. I looked at the header bolts offered by them and the design is great, just a little pricey according to my budget. However, if there is a huge advantage, I might go ahead and bite the bullet.

As usual, I listen to advice from those with experience.

Check e-bay for 1" X 3/8X16 tpi bolts. They are usually pretty cheap and will do the job nicely. You can also get allen head bolts from an auto supply store in grade 8. I would also recommend using anti-seize on any bolt, along with lock washers.

I used stainless allen head bolts on mine.

Works for me. :D

there are some out there with allen set screws in them, looks good in theory but dont bother. mine wouldnt set and i eventually ended up using thread lock on them without the set screws and they havent loosened up again yet

I used normal high-tensile bolts with hex heads - cheap and easy to get from your local bolt shop.
