Header Help!!!!!!!!!!

hey does anyone know what kind of headers that clifford's offers will fit a 1964 Mecury Comet. I have a pair of headers from the 70's that are viper headers which are form clifford but they are to big! I need some help!!!!!!!

When you say headers do you have a 6 or V8? A six will onky take one header. They(Clifford) says the headers they sell are there own. You may have a header for a 250 or 240/300 inch six. Is the flange the same as your motors? Put a gasket up to the flange and see.

What engine do you have in your car?

If you find that your header is for a 250 and ya wanna sell it let me know.

Clifford has a header for the 144-170-200-250-240-300.

The 144-170-200 are the same.
250 is a taller block, but same bolt pattern on the head. Headers will be longer due to stater placement and block being 3/4 inch taller.

240/300 are big Ford sixes that are in trucks and vans. No interchange on your car.

There are other Ford sixes from the 50'-60's that are different still.

I have a 6 its a 200. I call them headers because they go together, they are seperate. There are two sets of pipes that come together to make one. The headers are not for a 300 the bolt pattern match up to my 200. I have no idea if they are for a 250. But i have no use for them, so i proably am going to sell them. I can try to get a picture to you if you want to see them? They are new never been used but they could use a fresh coat of paint. I'll be happy once i get a set that fit..........

I dont think my generator will clear the number 1 pipe. The pictures on the web site show a car with a altoranter. My generator is longer then that alternantor which means it will hit the pipe. Headers are a pain!!!!!!

I have a new header design in production which will clear the generator, as well as high or low starter locations. They should be ready in a few more weeks. I'll e-mail you with more details.
