Yes you need to use the stock 223 Points Distributor Gear off yours or find another to use on your choice of either a 240 or 300 (1968 to 1974) Points Distributor, the later (1976 to 1984) 300 DuraSpark II Distributor, or one of the Clone 300 Six HEI Distributor's. Good luck on your swap.

For those that have done this, how did you drill out the gear? That’s all I have left to do now. I ground my oil pump shaft to the 1/4” on one side and cut it to length.
