Help!! I Just Bought A Holley 2300 2bbrl .. Neep Adapter?

Okay Just got back from Kragens, I bought a Holley 2300 500cfm and I need the adapter.. I dont kwno where to get it. I've seen it on cliffordperformance.com for 68.00 but man, that's a lot of money .. is there any other website that sells them.

Also, I dont know what size adapter to get? HOLLEY 2 3/4" Bolt Centers or
HOLLEY 3 5/8" Bolt Centers ???

I need the adapter by Monday, so reply asap.. thanks in advance -mike

The adapter that I am talking about is the adapter that will allow me use the 2 bbrl from my stock 1bbrl carter

I dont know but maybe you could measure? I dont know which way and from which bolt but see if any match. Hope that helps.

What type of engine do you have? The Clifford one is expensive and if you have the same Holley I have the 350 CFM you will have to modify it to make it fit. I have a 65 mustang 200. The problems I had with the adapter are this.
(1) The choke side has to have a notch ground into it.

(2) What I got from Clifford was a 2 piece deal (a Webber adapter with a Holley plate that bolts on top of it) Problem is that raises the height by a 1/2". Which caused me a hood clearance issue? To solve the problem I took the setup to a local machine shop and had them ground 3/8" off the Webber part. NOTE: then you will have to rework the cone down part of the adapter.

SO yes it is a pain in the butt but with a drop down air cleaner it all fits nice now. There are other adapter out there one form stovepipes but not sure how they fit. If you got the 500 CFM Holley the choke side will NOT have to be modified but you may still have the height issue.

I personally have a Clifford universal Holley adapter that you would just need to drill the holes for the intake manifold side if you are interested. Also it is a one piece setup so no machining necessary

Thanks a lot, I went with the Clifford 3 5/8 (man I hope that fits, haha) ... the sooner it comes the sooner i have to have fun with my xmas present .. w00t!
