Basics of build, MPFI new aluminum head, bored .060 200, 35inch tires, 4.88 or 5.13 axles, 9.5.1 or slightly less CR, future 7 to 10 psi boost non turbo, possibly m90 or procharger style intercooled, want lots of bottom end but still be able to go down road at 65 without feeling like I am going 200mph before boost. It will see serious offroad. TIA

Im gonna sound like an asshole but its not my intent.

If I was looking to tie a combination like youve described together, with the expectations you have, Id probably pick up the phone or e-mail one or all of the major cam companies.

Better yet, Id probably contact one of the popular custom cam companies and get one ground for my specific needs. They are gonna ask all the hard questions, and need to know every last detail, down to head flow, and yes youll wanna have your new head flow tested, just because one is capable of X doesnt mean yours will be, there is alot of room for human error when it comes to aftermarket parts. Otherwise, at best your making an educated GUESS, which you could do yourself, as all companies offer a generic camshaft or two for boost.

right now I am waiting on a call back from american Custom Cam, I'm wanting a cam about 210, .480 at 1.6, 110 L/S intake and exhaust at 22 and 62

I forgot about REED, thanks, I'm still hoping american custom cams can help, its amazing the limitations even the majors have on there cores they have, of course american had the ability to get one and there supplier had 4 on the books, but no one can find them. I should know tomorrow if I am moving on.

If you are going to put on a blower, you want a cam with 112 or 114 lobe centers, not a 110.
Get in touch with George at clay smith cams & then you can purchase it from Mike @ Classic Inlines. Bill

Done been their, it ain't going to happen and I understand the L/S issue, but I'm sticking with 110, look at what does 10's did with 110 L/S, besides if I run 8 to 10 psi even I will be impressed and also I do not know how long it will be before I have some boost and I will be hard headed on 110 L/S as I have always been disapointed with 112 L/S on inline sixes and this is my sixth, when I hear someone recommend that 206/212 crane 112 L/S cam for the 300 six I always cringe, wasn't alot of selection as now in late 70's.

I'll call George at Clay Smith and see what he has to say. Like I explained to you on the phone, I think the smallest master they stock is a 214, however he may be able to recommend someone. He knows just about everyone in the business. Plus I may be able to get a better price then you could.

You might want to go with a slightly lower compression ratio if you're going to run a blower.

Just a thought.

Just read these posts, I finally found someone at Bullet Cams to do what I wanted. Also the reason I'm going a little high on C/R, is I don't know how long it may be before it gets boosted if ever, by then maybe Mike will have a selection of those MLS gaeskets to choose from to have some C/R variablility, I really want to see how it runs first. I may even change the cam when boost time arrives.
