Many of us are trying to do conversions to our car, but are unsure if a part will fit. I found a website www.car-part.com that allows you to search for parts for your car after you select Year, Make, then model and engine size. It provides you a listing of salvage yards either in only the state of your choice or nationwide. I realize that this listing may not include all of the salvage yards in your area, but it also provides a listing of OTHER parts that, according to Hollander's Interchange Manual, will also fit on your car. For example, go to this site, and type in 1977 Ford Granada, choose rear axle, then click on the search button. It will display parts from a 1976 -1978 etc which will work. It even includes the price requested by the salvage yard, or indicates that you should call them for a current price.
