i am in the process of rebuilding my '68 mustang with a 200cid. i pulled the carb off and ordered a rebuilt Autolite 1100, assuming that was what the original was. having received the new carb i noticed that they look nothing alike. i went to the pony carb website and realized that what i had on the car is an aftermarket holley 1904. is there going to be any problem with the mounting? the fuel filter and throttle linkage are all in the correct spots. but i'm worried that maybe it might not work right. do i need to send back the 1100 for a 1904? if anyone out there in the wonderful world on inliners can drop some knowledge on me on this subject it would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys.

The carbs are interchangable. You should have no problems. I'm running an autolite 1100 on a 68 block right now.

I don't know enough about the 1904s to tell if there is a slight performance difference.
