I replaced my old 1940 Holley 1 barrel Auto Choke with the leaky float chamber with another Holley 1940- the current one has a manual choke. It runs great and starts right up with just a touch of choke (in San Francisco). I have a diagram from my Haynes Holley Carb Manual, and it looks like I'm missing some parts. The diagram shows a schematic with all possible components, so I am not sure what is supposed to be on my carb and what is not.
Currently I do not have:
1. Choke Diaphragm Assembly (parts 45, 48, etc.)
2. Fast idle cam assembly (parts 63)
3. Pump rod clamp (part 70) but I've got washers there for now
My two main questions-
1. Without the choke assembly/diaphragm is there a vacuum leak?
2. Is there a fast idle cam for a manual choke?
Any and all comments appreciated!
