Superheat,

Hi welcome to the forum. You may want to start your own thread to get more answers to your question. Yes the 350 is a great carb to use on a 200 engine. There are a couple of adaptors you can use the one Clifford Performance sells is easy to use but they have been having problems delivering. Search for "Holley 350" and I'm sure you will find all the answers you need to make a decision on which carb to use.

We need a sticky about Pony carbs. It will be similar to the Chuck Norris items.

What is the best carb for an I6? Stock.
What are the best jets for an I6 with dual out headers? Stock.
If I want a higher top end, what carb should I use? Stock
I want a more reliable choke pulloff, what...? Stock
Can you mount a 2V on a 200 I6? No, use stock.
What specialty carbs do you offer? All stock.
My friend has been running in the deep 7's with a hi-lift cam and a tractor turbo. What carb should he use to break into 6's? Stock.

There's only one Chuck Norris. He comes stock. You need a roundhouse kick to the head? Or do you get it?

thank's guys... i came across a formula in an old hot rod mag. i have since lost(put in a safe place) that i used and came up with 289 cfm. i did not know if the 350 would be too much for a mostly stock 200 or not

The 350 cfm Holley will work great. I have even ran them on my old Pinto and a 280Z. The 280 evgine is only about 170CU IN. The Pinto was 140 CU IN.
With all of the cylinders pulling from it, it works great.

WSA111 (William) can recomend a good starting place for the main jets and power valve. I think he already has if you do a search.

I am running a Holley 2300 350 cfm carb with a Clifford adapter. I had to fabricate some throttle linkage and a cable to make it work. But what a nice difference in power. I should have gotten rid of that 1 bbl a long time ago.

hey man

i just switch out the holley 500 3 barrel to the holley 350 2 barrel and i actually think it runs better with the 350. the only issue you will have is the throttle linkage, but not to be alarmed summit says a bracket and throttle cable set up for around 50 bucks that works great and look awesome. il post some pics of my new 250. as soon as i am done doing the final touches IE chrome cleaning and new dist, ect.

Wes

Is everyone just running the Holley 350 straight out of the box, or are you having to change the jets or power valve?

Guys, I would change to a 59 main jet & stay with the 8.5 power valve.

This is with a direct mount 7448 carb.

I have no idea what an adapter will do to jetting???

The full throttle A/F will still be a little rich, but would require a change to the PVCR orifice below the power valve.

The 350 carb is great for mild mods to the engine.

If you have extensive mods the 4412-500 is the way to go. William
