Holley 2300

I've been doing a lot of reading on here, and have purchased a holley 2300 model 4412. (the 500cfm version) I do have one question though, and thats concerning the adapter. I am looking at the clifford, but want to know if thats still the best choice. I saw an interesting one on the classic inlines website. Anybody have some experience with it? Or is it better to just stick with the clifford and not reinvent the wheel?

To use a 4412-500 using an adapter to a single carb mount is a waste of time.
If you plan to use the 4412 you need to do a direct mount on the log.
Even after you use the direct mount, the 4412 is calibrated way to rich.
Just to give an example the 73 main jets need to go down to close to 68 main jets, & there are many other mods to even make it perform properly.
You would be better off with a 7448-350 if you plan to use an adapter.
Or purchase a carb from pony carbs called the atomizer. Bill

Now does that hold true even if it is going to be a turbo application? I thought rich conditions were ideal if running boost. Or is 500cfm just too big? And I'll call a shop monday to see about getting the head milled for a two barrel
