I recently installed a Holley 5200 (32/36 Weber) carb on my '67 Mustang 200ci. During some test driving today I noticed the engine pinging heavily up hills and had to retard the timing a good bit before I could get the pinging to stop. Also when I got back after a couple of hours test driving the spark plugs were white.
I checked the Jets and got the following numbers, but are the Primary jets on the smaller of the two venturies (the ventury that opens first), or the larger second to open ventury?
Assuming smaller ventury is Primary:
Primary Main: 135
Secondary Main: 145
Primary Air: 180
Secondary Air: 180
Primary Idle: 50
Secondary Idle: 80
I just wrote the supplier asking about recomended Jet sizes, but I'd also like to verify which are primary and which are secondary?
Thanks,
Greg
