What is required to install a Holley 5200 onto a '79 250cid engine?

you can buy a clifford carb adapter

or a stovebolt adapter

or make your own adapter

or if your feeling really creative and want the best/most performance out of your new carb mount it directly to the log (assuming its a flat top)

So far the best/easiest linkage modification I have seen was from Ducktang http://www.geocities.com/dualsprings/ducktangpage2.html
If you have a load-O-Matic dizzy it will need to be changed out for a '67+ points style or a Duraspark (or DII) dist with both mechanical and vacuum advance.
Most people have put on manual chokes, but if you get lucky some of them (junkyard) have electric chokes on them. And of course you need to buy/build an appropriate air filter base/housing.

I do already have a duraspark ll. I had to mill the egr plate and invent an air cleaner setup. I am using a V8 linkage set up that I adapted using the cable linkage from the Granada i stole the engine from so, I don't think linkage will be a problem. But, I don't think the stovebolt or clifford adapter will work(too high). I can mount direct like in your pics. I have a fiar pic of my air cleaner if I only could get it posted here.[/img]
