Hose fro 78 XC 4.1 C4 Auto

I have a 1978 XC GXL 4.1 with C4 Auto, there is a hose coming from the rear of the transmission that I don't know where it goes, I have traced the oil cooler hoses but this one has me baffled, should it go to the inlet manifold Christmas Tree, I'm running a converted electronic dizzy and triple 45mm Webers.
 
Possibly a vent?? I don’t believe there are any hoses other than 2 cooling lines, a vacuum line to the modulator. It is vented, sometimes just a button on top of the case or tail housing, sometimes a line
 
Sounds like the modulator hose, it should be able to see manifold vacuum, since you have triple webers, your going to need some sort of damper to smooth out the pulsating pressure from one of the carby throats, or pick up all six ports.
 
Just to clarify terms.
Steel is usually called lines
Rubber is called a hose
Tranny cooling lines are usually steel
The modulator lines can be steel with push on rubber hose at each end
