How much does an engine weigh?

How much does a 200, 289, and 351C weigh? My Grandpa wanted to know what involves swaping a eight into my comet. I like the six. Ill proably stick with the six, but i know he will want to put an 8 in it.

DaveWilliams has had an engine weight list floating around internet for years. Google -dave williams engine weight- and you'll get about thirty different versions. This one is pretty current:

The only question mark is the ford small six family is all listed at 385. US 250s are a bit heavier than that.
