how to tell 250 from 200 ?

hi everyone i just bought a 65 mustang coupe, it was originaly a
t code 200 but it has been rebuilt or replaced ( im not sure lady i got it from was did'nt know ) the engine has a d8 cast in the block, so im sure it's a 78 engine. but how do i tell whats the cid of the engine should i measure something ? any and all help will be appreciated thank's.

How many bolts hold the water pump to the block? Look carefully. Three is 170/200, four is 250.

it's a 250 ! 4 bolts on the pump thanks i appreciate the help.
