HW 5200 Electric Choke Wiring Q's

I am in the process of upgrading to a HW 5200 2B carb from a 73 Pinto- and an electric choke from Electrodyne in NY. Where do I attach the hot wire to? And what about grounding? I think the gaskets will prevent the carb body from touching the block, so I think I need to attach a wire from he carb itself to the firewall. Suggestions or pics would be appreciated.
Thanks!

HI
NO need to ground the carb the screws compleat the circurt... Just run the power wire to any key on power point. Make sure that there is a good 12v to the wire.

Well, that makes sense!
I must have "fortgotten" that the bolts make contact through the gasket...
Thanks!

A good spot is the positive side of the coil. It is close and keyed. You want the 12 volt source to be “Keyedâ€￾. In other words the power to the choke is only on when the key is on.

Good luck, Ric.

Thanks Ric-
do you mean the post on the coil running into it from the dash, or the post on the coil connecting the coil to the distributor/ignition module?

Just wondering, wouldn't hooking it to the alternator be the usual setup?
I think that's that way it is on my Fairmont.
