Looking for an upgrade from old log head for my 66 mustang i6 200 build I am working on. Seems like classic inlines and 2v 250 heads are very hard to find, but that is the direction i am looking....

All Small Six - Alternatives to Vintage Inlines Head??

As the title states, are there any real alternatives to the Vintage Inlines head that doesn't seem to be made/available anymore? I see the large log threads/discussions but was wondering if there are other head/intake alternatives (possibly without the shared 3/4 port or uneven runners)...

Look on the Vintage 6 Mustang face book site . Search out Jose Alvarez he can get you hooked up with one of the 221 Argentine heads . Everything I read about that head leads me to think it's a better head than the VI or CI alumn head . You looking for cheap forget it.

That is correct you need the exhaust header & the intake manifold . While it is a.direct.bolt on from what I've read you got to have those 2 pieces with the head .

Yes the head is bolt on from what I read. So with the header and intake have you heard any estimates with shipping to the US? I don't have the Facebook so can't contact Mr. Alvarez. There is an element of risk buying an old head.

I've seen a couple post from Jose & another guy . I want to say they both are around 2700 bucks give or take . not seen anything about a shipping cost .
While it sounds high I'm into my fully ported VI alum head s#009 for about 3500 shipped from Oklahoma to Alabama 6 years ago .
Don't have it on yet but it's in the works
