I know that I should be looking for the igntion module with the blue connector but what should I be asking for when I go to NAPA or Autozone? Does someone have a part number? There are a couple on ebay, are any of these right?

I was thinking about getting an MSD 6 but, damn, they're expensive! Also, is the cap adaptor I here about a separate part or should it come with a distributor if I ordered it from the local parts store? With your guys help I can finally get my car on the road!

Well, I'm almost positive a module that I just got on ebay will work. The part number they had for a reference was #LX203, if anyone else was confused as I was (am?).

The adaptor is a seperate part, but is sometimes included with the dizzy depending on the vendor. I know that didn't help. I asked for the adaptor when I got mine and my dizzy didn't come with the adaptor. I actually drove around all of the local vendors looking for a red one vice the standard grey one.

Can't help on the module as I went MSD.

1974-1979 Duraspark wiring diagrams can be found here.

Please read post's by MarkP on this forum. He has done lots of work in this area. I am currently trying to locate the vacuum switch for a yellow grommet duraspark. I would appreciate any leads, I have the module but need the switch.

Most go with the blue grommet, others include brown(mostly used in trucks), red( high energy?) and the yellow (high altitude/more vacuum advance/mpg :D .

adapter is differant when you go to get the cap it will list 2 caps, one as an adapter and one as a cap, think they are about $8 each.
