hey,
my car runs with everything but i have some trouble with flooding and because of the over load of gas my spark plugs craped out.
this is my set up:
duraspark 2 plugs gapped at .054
264 cam 110 degree
2bbl holley 500cfm put on with adapter
dual roller chain 1.6hr roller
dual flowmaster exhaust

can anyone tell me what i could jet the 500 so it wont over gas it
any recomendations?
need anymore info?
thanks,
Sean

Sean, the jet size has no affect on fuel flooding.

You should be running 68 main jets with a 8.5 power valve & have the power valve restriction channel @ .055 to .052 for best power at a 12.7-13.0 full throttle air fuel ratio using a air fuel on a dyno or an innovate wideband A/F tester.

By the way the stock 4412 PVCR is about .061.

Lets get back to your fuel flooding problem.

First make sure you don't have excessive fuel pressure, over 8#.

Make sure the float level is right at the bottom of the float level plug.

Put a new needle & seat in the bowl, using vasoline as a lubricant for the o'ring on the needle & seat assembly to prevent cutting the sealing o'ring to the bowl.

To achieve the proper A/F ratio at full throttle you will need to insert a wire insert in both restrictions or get a professional to drill & tap to put in screw in restrictors drilled to the proper diameter .055-.052.

Doing this will get you on track for proper air fuel ratio's.

Remember being too rich is just causing you power loss & fuel ecomomy.

I'm not guessing, all the above was proved using an innovate wideband A/F tester.

More power to you. William

found out flooding wasnt the problem....
but still since the 500 is ment for a larger engine i should probably jet it down any sugestions for the best combo on a holley 500cfm 2bbl on a 200cid engine
