kickdown cable with tripower

I finally procurred a throttle cable and bracket from a junkyard ranchero and am getting ready to install it all along with the maverick pedal assembly I have. Only problem is the kickdown cable will be nonexistent when the factory bar setup is removed. The bracket I got is from a three-speed car, but can I make something to activate the kd. Anyone have any pics of their solution? I'm looking forward to removing the factory stuff and having something that works much better(looks better too!).

8) the factory used an arm that hung down from the accelerator bell crank, and a cable that connected the arm to the kick down lever on the transmission.

The arm that is on the bellcrank will soon be gone in lieu of the cable assembly. I was thinking of running of running a second cable from the gas pedal into a bracket on the firewall in order to actuate the kickdown. Sound feasable or is there an easier way?

8) one idea you might think about is adapting the kickdown arm to the new bell crank.

Gonna run a second cable to the gas pedal and make a bracket on the firewall to hold it where it will eventually be routed to the trans.

Why not go with a floor shifter that you can down shift yourself?...I installed a Hammer shifter from B&M and it works just like the old slapsticks did...this route really cleans up the engine bay and makes the inside look sporty...just my 2 cents.

Normally, I would like to have a floor shift, but I have grown quite fond of the factory look of my car and the roominess of the front floor area. I think the second cable from the new pedal will be the way to go-just gotta find some time and motivation :D
