Lifter knock...noooo....

Since my rebuild I've noticed a loud tapping noise coming from the lifter region in my block. I reused the old lifters because my machine shop said they looked pretty good. No sign of excessive wear. However, I did install new push rods, valves, valve seals.

I started hearing the noise the other day after a blip to 5000 rpms. Think I damaged one of the lifters? Rocker arm adjustment?

if your MECHANIC said they were good, he should open it up and REPLACE FOR FREE...
