Looking for Valve cover wing bolts?

I am looking for valve cover bolts to dress up the engine a bit...

Will these fit:

the head is in the shop, what size are the bolts for the valve cover on the 250 2v? what are they on a 69 250 US head for that matter?

I found another set that is:
5 in. long, 1/4 in. x 20 threads, 1 3/8 in long studs....

If that's UNC, the size sounds right. But the thread length sounds excessive (IIRC, ¾" is fine). I bought stainless socket head bolts from my local marine supplies, with stainless spring washers. It cost about AUD$75 for the whole engine's worth of these little beauties. It's my opinion that the chromed tee bolts aren't plated to last.

There's a company at website 'alloyboltz.com' that sells complete stainless kits for your engine. Includes washers and all are polished. Kits include different styles including original pattern and allen head sets. I bought the polished allen head set as well. Very nice.
If you go with the wing style valve cover bolts that have the removable wings, you have to take them off or you will lose them 1 mile down the road. Did that

The wing bolts are cool but like Addo said chrome bolts do not last that long.

Alloyboltz sells them on Ehay because he got them from me and made up his own kit

Thanks for the Alloyboltz tip, I bought their set.... They were pretty nice for the price and I like the idea of a polished stainless trim....

What is the point of the Wing bolts if you cannot run with the wings on?
Not sure I get that.... Oh well. Doesn't matter now.

Just to let you guys know. I checked Alloyboltz and they sell the Allen Head Engine Kit for $10 more than I do plus charge you $8 shipping.

That's $44 compared to my $26.95

I guess that is free enterprise
