So I've got my new engine pretty well tuned and it sure runs strong. Nevertheless, The idle speed difference between neutral or park and drive is about 400 to 500 rpm. Even then, it's pretty loaded down and idles lumpy and poorly. I have a stock late model TC in there (http://gopnh.com/Automotive-Part-Number.cfm) and it is generally acceptable except for a bit of a lazy launch and that idle problem. I'm new to hipo automatics so I'm not sure what my best choice is in terms of stall speed, or even where to get a TC for these cars. Mine has the kind with the ring gear on the TC. So the question is:
What stall speed would be good for a street car which prefers to idle at 800 or 900 rpm?
Where to find such a beast?
Thanks again!
