Merry Christmas

Hi All,

Its Christmas time and the gift I received was my Mustang ready to go.
I had been sent to Dubai for the last week +, so my wife called to Gateway Mustang and had them finish up the work while I was gone. I have pictures to post but not time to get there. My son updated the CarDomain website.

Anyways, I was at the carb problem. She sent the carb to Pony and it was rebuilt, plated and the CFM was increased by 40-50CFM if the tag is correct. Sat morning when I flew in, she took me not home but to Gateway where the car was washed, running and ready to drive home. (Except it was also sleeting and 33 deg!!!) Long story short, the guys will deliver my car to my house in a closed trailer Tuesday and stick it in the garage.

I am heading back to Jordan and Eqypt until Christmas, but just getting this out of the way is a lot of stress of my back. The carb situation was a peculiar one anyways. As I look back not only was the float off, but there was stripped threads for the butterfly, inlet where the filter sits and the choke wasn't working. (Your typical of the shelf Autozone rebuild) The guys and GCM worked with Pony and the engine specs were passed over for the tune and setup of the carb.

When it started, I swear it was soooooo sweet!!. Had a nice lope and with the Thrush turbos the sound was pure heaven. (Another upgrade from the wife was to go all the way out the back with duals instead of just venting in front of each rear tire.) So while I didnt play much in the rebuild part, it was just a total surprise to have it finished.

So I am formally thanking my beautiful and thoughtful wife, as well as my son, for arranging this. Still things to do, but with my recent job change and traveling during the holidays, this was totally unexpected, but really so cool!

I will definately get pics and a video with sound for posting. So as I spend the reset of tonite packing for tomorrows overseas job, I want to also say thanks to Mike at FSPP for his help in getting the engine parts I needed, to all of you guys where I learned what to do and what not to do in making my six a real SPRINT!

Be back at ya near Christmas. So Happy Holidays to all of you!!
