I need to get my engine rebuilt, I know a shop that does great work but doesn't pull engines thay only rebuild them for approx $900.00 ,,,problem with that is I live in an apartmet and I can't get away with that one, my friends garages are all full so thats no good, and I can't find a storage place with electricity to run a compresser and a radio for tunes, ( also light), I found s and s engines which seem to have a smoking deal,, $1400.00 ( delivered to a shop or apartment) and a 7 year , 100.000 mile warranty but I need an ASE certifided mechanic to do it for warranty reasons any ideas? any help/info appreciated thanks

I think I would shop around some more. $1,400 isn't a smoking deal. Requiring an ASE mechanic to r&r a 200 is throwing away money and getting an out of state rebuilder to stand behind their work, and the expense of shipping an engine back and forth could be overwhelming.

Why don't you give Mike at classic inlines a shout. AZCoupe if you pm him.
It sounds like the machine shop he uses does super work.
Maybe some of you AZ boys could chime in. Bill

At 6817 N. 56th AVE. GLENDALE, AZ 85301 is a place called FIVE STAR engine and cylinder head exchange. I think $750 you get a exchange for a rebuilt. But you have to bring the engine to them to keep that price. They can pull out the engine there, but I don't know the price for that. I had mine done there. AT the time they didn't have a 200 so they rebuilt mine in 4 days. Their number is 623-939-0345. 18,000 miles and no problems yet!

Before you do business with someone you don't know a visit with the Better Business Bureau would always be advised!

completely random thought
it might be possible to find an engine in rebuildable condition at a local junkyard for a very cheap price
you might try getting that rebuilt, that way you can just pull the old one, set it in the corner, then drop the new one in and have it motoring down the road within a weekend

just a thought
