hey guys.. this thing is nearing complettion. I hope the link works, if not im sure ill get hell.
pics are a few weeks old, so im actuallt a lot farther along.
its a 56 223 with an Offy 3 carb manifold, hedder, and an Offy valve cover (not pictured YET). Well, actually, its the complete running drive line out a 56 f-100, so motor-trans-shaft-diff. its ALL ford excepty my POS 1936 ford steering box froze up and decided to die, so i purchased a corvair box in stead. (forgive me, y'all)

lemme know whatcha think.

Neat work on the brakes. I love that cowl; it has beautiful flowing lines. What do you expect to drop on that radiator shell? $600? $1200? I know they are pricey to repair and plate.

Regards, Adam.

thanks!. the grill shell is original 32 that was filled back in the day, but the work is beyond shoddy. I replaced the entire bottom of it from scratch. straightening it is no big deal. Take a look at the pics and youll notice i built from scratch everything behind the doors, including the bed and tailgate. Not completely original, but being my first hot rod, i wanted to have some blodd sweat and tears in this bitch.

Sweet!

How's the 223 run with triple carb?

I've been wanting to go with a Offy triple for sometime but was worried about too much carburation and to a lesser extent, not enough clearance on the hood.

havent ran the triple carb setup yet, but it sbound to make some improvements, such as the fuel starvation problem of #1 and #6 .. i guess think of it this way... ive got 3 barrels spread out over the length of my motor, versus 4 barrels (i.e. a clifford 4bbl intake) in the center...

ill be postin some more pics this weekend after i get a lot more done..
thanks for all the encouragement, guys!!

I am green with envy, it will be neat. When a kid the neighbor had a p/u roadster think it was a '30

Suggestion for steering box, a corvair. Flaming River has new with the shaft, pittman arm, etc, price not so bad. Ran one in a beam axle '63 Falcon. Have seen early Econoline box used but most would be worn out.

It looks outstanding. I'm three shades of green with envy.
Where did you manage to find the Offy 3 carb set-up? I've been looking all over the place.

got the offy setup on ebay and picked up locally. got the manifold with 3 carbs on it for $175. dude sells stuff at march meet and got it by chance through some trading.
just got the offy valve cover today, so ill be posting some more with it on.
