My current Motorcraft 1 bbl needs rebuilding and I want to install a Autolite 1100. But, the set-up is different. What would yall do to make it happen? The linkage is in the rear. What changes to my current linkage do I need?..ZZ

If i were you since your carb needs rebuilding......i'd switch to a Carter YF carb. there's much better throttle response...not as sluggish as the original carbs.
That's what I did. however, there is a few modifications you'll have to do..I had to bend my accelerator linkage for one.
If your serious about switching to a carter carb. let m know and i'll find out what you have to do.

What Motorcraft carb. do you currently have? Have any pics. or a description?

actually i don't have a motorcraft or autolite carb. i have a Carter YF carb. it has more CFM intake than the stock motor/auto carbs.

I'm not sure of the actual model #. I had it rebuilt sometime ago and the guy spray painted it black. He said it offered a method of checking if people are tampering with his lifetime guarentee. But, it is a 1bbl with the choke adjustment and fuel in front. The linkage from the accelerator and the vacuum advance on the left side.* note- that guy has gone out of business...ZZ
