My new best time: 14.06...with 50 shot! (video)

Went to the track on Sunday and had a blast! My rigged rad held up fine, a little hot, but no spills. The car performed flawlesly, I even set a personal best ET of 14.06 still on the 50 shot! I'm really happy for my car. The only downside was that I brokeout 3 out of 4 times :( All I need to do is get rid of my POS shifter that's really hard to go into 3rd gear.

Are you hitting the nitrous almost right off the line? It looks like there a puff of black smoke about 10 feet off the line?

Mustang_Geezer:Doug that's funny :D I 'm using the throttle switch to activate it. As soon as I reach WOT it's on. With the bronze clutch and the mini spool there just a little tire spin of the launch. I also notcied the black smoke, but the plugs show no sign of richness so I'll keep it like that.

I had a blast, the next event is probably going to be at night so maybe I can improve on these numbers.

The initial black smoke is most likely the delay that the N2O takes to get up to the carb. The fuel is already there. The N2O has to go all the way from the bottle.
Do you have a purge solenoid?

I just checked out your website, lots of mods REALLY COOL! I was hoping to have more done to mine so by the time I could drive it wouldnt be AS pitiful as a stock I6 but with my low paying job and the fact that I'm 15 and can only legally work 15 hours a week means that I cant make alot... and when I get my license (dec 22) I will have to start paying insurance on the pony full coverage will run me I guess a little over 200 a month insured for 12k (dont worry it looks better than my signiture, it is on its final steps before painting...), again AWESOME!
